Detailed History |
On May 18th, Billy Jacobs defended the Legacy Title against two deserving opponents in Ronnie McNeil and Don Tiago. The conclusion of the triple threat match came with some controversy, as it seemed as though McNeil forced Jacobs to tap at the exact instant that Tiago scored the pinfall. For the next two weeks, both men argued over who the rightful champion was. However, it was at South of Heaven that the new champion, or champions, we're crowned. Unfortunately for the fans of the Legacy Title division, this decision saw the end of the Legacy Title, but in doing so, Hostility re-introduced its Tag Team Division.
How could anyone not see this coming? Ever since becoming the Tag Team Champions... hell, even before that, the pairing of Don Tiago and Ronnie McNeil was not a cohesive one. Usually found to be at each other's throat, it was only a matter of time before the Ron & Don Connection fell apart. But on the night in question, it wasn't the problems between the two champions that led to their downfall. No, it was the booking by the GM For A Night, Mike Polowy, that saw the titles change hands. In a four-on-two Tag Title Match, with elimination rules, the four members of The Industry waltzed down to the ring with domination on their minds. However, Bobby Dean never made it to the ring, and Mike Polowy was eliminated early on, leaving Chris Bond and Dave Milenko to finish things off. Ron & Don put aside their differences, and put up a good fight. But in the end, the odds were too great, and Bond and Milenko are now Hostility's Tag Team Champions.
Up until this past Monday night, the biggest match for the Heroes of Violence, Brock and Hooligan, took place at the Stranglehold Pay Per View, when they defeated Mountains of Muscle and the duo of Sean Kage and Michael Macbeth, to earn a shot at the Tag Team Champions, The Industry (Chris Bond and Dave Milenko). But that was then, and this past Monday, they finally got to cash in their shot. In a time of uncertainty, with both the World and Aversion Titles vacant, it was a refreshing change to see a title defended on Hostile Violence. In the end, the Heroes of Violence made good on their golden opportunity, and walked out of HV#42 as the new Hostility Tag Team Champions.
Much like the story of the Ron & Don Connection, the Heroes of Violence were a force to be reckoned with. However, the Tag Team Champions were being held together by a pair of gold title straps. By the time they were set to defend the 'Straps', they had found themselves locked in battle, not only with the challengers, Pat Fullam and Julian Fiasco, but with each other as well. And much like the story between Don Tiago and Ronnie McNeil, the Heroes of Violence finally fell apart, which ended up costing them the Tag Team Titles at Hostile Violence #49.
After defeating Pat Atoe and Hooligan respectively in singles action, Anthony Moretti and Sean Kage earned themselves a shot at Pat Fullam, Julian Fiasco, and the Tag Team Titles. The stage was set for Aggravated Assault, and these four men delivered quite the Tag Title Match. However, the night would prove to be disappointing for Pat Fullam and his crew. Not only did Moretti and Kage defeat Fullam and Fiasco for the Tag Titles, but Pat Fullam was sent packing with a possible career ending injury.
