Detailed History

Proving to be two of the most competitive talents on the roster, Coyote Bronson and James Milenko worked their way in to the first Aversion Championship match at HWF's first Pay-Per-View, "Misery". Things had gotten personal the week before, at South of Heaven, as Coyote attempted to shake Milenko's hand after learning he would be facing him for the title at Misery. In response, Milenko pulled Bronson in and kicked him in the groin. At Misery, the two had a great match. James Milenko ended up manipulating his way in to winning the match, becoming HWF's first Aversion Champion.

James Milenko and Coyote Bronson have been going for each other's throat through out the weeks. Milenko put his title on the line at, "Annihilation" against Bronson in a Tennessee Strap Match. Both men faught, and faught some more. Their skin was blistering red afterwards, but Bronson prevailed and was crowned the new HWF Aversion Champion!

A similar situation to that of Christian Vendetta, brought and end to Coyote Bronson's reign as Aversion Champion. After winning the Title from James Milenko, Bronson slowly began to fade away until all contact was lost with the self proclaimed 'Last Cowboy'. Hostility management eventually vacated the Title, and set up a match to decide the new Champion. At the time, a feud was brewing between former Champion, James Milenko, and Larry Lansdowne. It would be these two men that would fill the Aversion void. They fought tooth and nail in a modified 'Ladder Match' that ended in controversy. The owner of Hostility's rival company, sVo, interfered in the match, aiding Milenko in hopes of swaying him to join the competition. After winning, Milenko thanked him for the help, but declined to join the ranks of sVo.

The heated rivalry that was truly ignited by their first Aversion Title match lasted for the entirety of James Milenko's second Title reign. As his feud with Larry Lansdowne had reached it's boiling point, Mad Max stepped in to make Milenko's life even harder. Max and Milenko had begun to feud over control of Hostility, and both feuds caming crashing together at Hostility's latest PPV, 'Hostile Down Under'. In a two falls, triple threat match, the ownership of both Hostility and it's Aversion Title were decided. In the end, Lansdowne finally won the Title from Milenko, in front of his hometown crowd no less. However, the night was not a total loss for Milenko, as he gained 100% control of the Hostility Wrestling Federation.

After Hostility took a week off to recover from 'Hostile Down Under', a match was made that would see two newly crowned Champions face off. Aversion Champion, Larry Lansdowne, was set to take on Rising Star Champion, Troy Rigsby, when Lansdowne got some distressing news from his native Australia. While Lansdowne stayed in North America long enough to compete in the match, a new stipulation put on the Aversion Title by President Milenko forced him to defend his Title anytime, anywhere, against anyone. After his match with Rigsby, a mysterious video played on the Hostile-Tron, distracting both men in the ring. This led to a surprise attack on Lansdowne by Kathryn Velmont-Thomas, who took full advantage of the new 24/7 rule. The rest, as they say, is history.

Now that Hostility has reopened its doors, it has been looking to crown some well deserving champions. One of the first wrestlers to earn a title in the new era of Hostile Violence is a man by the name of Nathan Paradine. It all went down during Hostility's third show removed of reopening. Four competitors were set to take on each other, with only the promise of the winner being rewarded with a special surprise. After a had fought battle filled with amazing action, and the even more amazing return of Mike Polowy, Nathan Paradine claimed the special prize for himself. And what, you may ask yourself, was the prize. Well, it was the Aversion Championship Title of course. Thus Paradine's reign as Aversion Champion started right then and there.

Winning the Extreme Title in his debut match was pretty impressive, but it wasn't until the next week, on October 19, 2008, that the world got to see the real potential of Cody Williams. Finding himself at odds with the newly formed, "Paradine's Posse", Williams was booked against Paradine for the Aversion Title. With one title already around his waist, Williams shocked the world by becoming Hostility's first ever, Double Champion.

The turmoil between Cody Williams and Nathan Paradine finally came to a head at Hostility's November Pay-Per-View, Aggravated Assault. After weeks and weeks of warring with "Paradine's Posse", Cody Williams was set to defend both his Aversion and Extreme Title against to deteriorating duo of Nathan Paradine and Tyson Evans. When all was said and done, the match was signed as a Triple Threat Match. In the end, it was Paradine who closed the match, forcing Williams to tap out to the 'Kangaroo Clutch', thus allowing Nathan Paradine to be crowned the Aversion Champion for the second time.

Hostile Violence #14... the war between good and evil raged on towards Hostility's January Pay Per View, Revelations. The Main Event of the evening was Nathan Paradine's first Aversion Title defense since capturing the title for a second time. His opponent, Azrael Caducus. In the beginning, the match was quite possibly considered a sleeper, considering it followed a tag team match that held huge implications for the future of Hostility. However, in the end, the Main-Event-that-could stole the show. Azrael Caducus left the ring victorious, becoming the ninth Aversion Champion. Rumors have been swirling ever since, about the possible retirement of Nathan Paradine. Does the retirement have to do with losing his Title, or did losing his Title have to do with the retirement. Irregardless, Azrael Caducus now sits on top of the Aversion Mountain, holding the most contended title in Hostility history.

On the monumental night of December 28, 2008, Hostility held their very first SuperShow. All four matches announced for the event were indeed title matches. The Aversion Title match was scheduled as a Gauntlet Match, meaning that six men entered the ring, and after the first four men were tossed over the top rope, the last two entrants left decided the winner by a pin or submission. After letting D-Dawg do the majority of the work, even eliminating Azrael Caducus, the Aversion Champion at the time, Anti-Hero finished things off with ease to become the new Aversion Champion.

Ozric Mortimer finally has another Hostility Title around his waist. The former World Champion came into Hostile Violence #17, booked against his Team Max team mate, Anti-Hero in an Aversion Title match. The idea behind the match was that James Milenko was looking to create a rift in the rival team, but what ended up happening was a brutal, yet magnificent match. Anti-Hero fought off Ozric for as long as he could, taking 'The Clown' to his limits, but in the end, Mortimer proved to be too much, and was crowned the new Aversion Champion.

The roster is sighing in relief now that the Aversion Title is off the waist of Ozric Mortimer, the nearly unstoppable force in Hostility. After vacating the Title due to injury, President Milenko thought it only fair to put the Title back up for grabs at the "Bloody Sunday" Pay Per View. The match was a Triple Threat Ladder match, involving three men that had earned the right to fight for the Aversion Title. Hooligan had won another ladder match at the previous Pay Per View, "Revelations", The Masked Man had been part of the winning team of a Four Way Tag Turmoil Match weeks ago, and Chris Bond had been the man that took out Ozric Mortimer with a superkick that crushed The Clown's head against the ring post. All deserving men, but there could only be one winner. On March 22, 2009, Hooligan walked out of Bloody Sunday as the new Aversion Champion.

For months, Hooligan and Xander Daniels had found themselves at odds against one another. It all stemmed from an old acquaintance of Hooligan's, Pat 'The Coolness' Fullam, finding himself a new protege in the shape of Xander Daniels, and the heated rivalry grew from there. What made things more interesting was the addition of the Aversion Title into the mix. Daniels had originally claimed to be the #1 Contender to Hooligan's title, but Hooligan had other plans. He persuaded management to set up an actual #1 Contenders match... one that would see the use of a steel cage and an ice covered ring. In the end, however, Daniels still held onto the right to face Hooligan, which he eventually did at South of Heaven. After a grueling Inferno Match, the world watched as Hooligan, the hockey fanatic, got burned, and Xander Daniels was crowned the new Aversion Champion.

Much like the World Title scene of late, the Aversion Title Division was thrown into chaos when a feud between Xander Daniels and Christopher Starr dissolved right in front of everyone. At the time, Xander Daniels was the Aversion Champion, but due to controversial events that took place during a title match against Starr, and Starr's subsequent departure from the company, the Aversion Title was left with no champion. Luckily, another feud provided an excellent means of crowning a new champion. Ronnie McNeil and Don Tiago had a hard fought battle at Hostility's Stranglehold Pay Per View, with the winner unknowingly receiving an Aversion Title shot. McNeil won the match, but was now in need of a challenger to fight against for the title. President Milenko then unveiled a small tournament the decide who would face McNeil for said title. However, the following weeks, McNeil feel out of favor with management, leading to the two finalists of the tournament to see who would face McNeil, Howie Banks and Johnny Donovan, actually facing one another for the title. At the end of Misery III, Hostility's September Pay Per View, it was Johnny Donovan that ended the Aversion Title's two month (approx.) vacancy.
